Alpha Omega Epsilon is a professional and social sorority
for engineering students founded in 1983. The Theta Chapter was founded
at the University of Illinois on February 27, 1999, with a candidate
class of twelve women. Through devotion and hard work, they built a
strong foundation for this chapter to see that the sorority's name and
traditions be carried on at the university. Today there are 45 active
members, each of us striving to promote friendship, leadership, and
professionalism to further the advancement of female engineers, while
strengthening the bonds of sisterhood in the process.
