EC@Illinois
Welcome to the web page of Engineering Council at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign!
The UIUC Engineering Council is currently composed of over fifty member societies. The newly elected executive board is eager and excited to serve these societies and the college during the 2008-2009 school year.
Over the summer, Engineering Council will be working to restructure and create programs that will facilitate cooperation among member societies, showcase society events, and allow better communication between the executive board and the societies. The executive board is always interested in feedback. Please email me at croth1@illinois.edu with any comments or concerns.
Engineering Council events to look forward to next fall include: Engineers Night, the Engineering Employment EXPO, the Engineering Student Leadership Program, a Charity Golf Tournament, and much more.
Come visit the Engineering Council booth on Quad Day to learn more about Engineering Council and meet the executive board.
Have a great summer!

With over 250 companies registered, the Engineering Expo is held every year, in order to provide opportunities for students and employers alike. Since the Illini Union will be under renovation this Fall, the Expo will be held at the I Hotel and Conference Center, located just south of Assembly Hall. All current University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield campuses) students and alumni may attend and are encouraged to come not only to the largest Expo we have ever held, but to the Company Information Sessions, to learn more about opportunities for internships, co-ops, and full-time employment.
For questions about Expo in general, please contact the Corporate Director, Tim Kennedy, at expo@ec.uiuc.edu
Registration is now up for both employers and student volunteers. To register, go to http://expo.ec.uiuc.edu/.
After the mass chaos of Quad Day, a lot of students (and especially freshmen) are still trying to figure out which clubs they'd like to join. We host Engineers Night annually in the fall semester exclusively for engineering societies—providing food, games, and prizes as students speak with representatives offering the best of their organizations. E-Night is an excellent way to recruit new members and get eager engineers involved. Member societies of Engineering Council (in good standing) get a booth for free at E-Night. Other organizations may request a table, as well.
For questions about registration or E-Night in general, please contact Rob Grzyb at rgrzyb2@uiuc.edu
